Leona is a tank with low range, she wades through swarms of enemies dealing damage while nearly impervious herself.
Leona's kit is defined by her E, Eclipse. This ability does a decent portion of her damage while doubling her armor and granting her a large shield. Her passive Sunlight, causes her to gain Area Size from all three defensive stats, encouraging her to lean into her tank identity and making her an absolute titan on the battlefield.

Tips and Tricks for Playing Leona
Ice Blast is a priority item to pick up for Leona. It evolves with armor just like her Shield Slam and it synergizes very well with her natural playstyle.
Leona benefits enormously from tank passives, it's a good idea to pick up all 3 of them.
Because of Leona's passive which greatly increases Area Size, it's a good idea to prioritize items which benefit.
